Program Overview
Launched last year, our Korean School Immersion Camp (Pre-K–8th Grade) received overwhelmingly positive feedback from families. Interestingly, many parents who were initially hesitant ended up being the most satisfied with the experience!

This unique program was co-created by the founder of the host school and the Global Bridge Camp team, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for young learners from Pre-K through Grade 8.

The camp takes place in Gimpo, at an international-style Korean school focused on preparing students for future studies abroad. (Please note: SIA is not an English-speaking international school.)

Unlike typical summer-only programs, this is an open year-round camp—families can enroll not only during the summer but also throughout the year, allowing flexibility for different school calendars and travel plans.

Blackout Dates (No Camp Sessions):

  • October 3–12, 2025

  • November 24–28, 2025

  • December 25, 2025 – March 3, 2026

Immersive Experience
Campers live and learn as Korean students, participating in cultural, academic, and social activities that reflect real Korean school life. The sleep-away program gives boys the opportunity to stay in dorms, while the day camp option is available for both girls and boys, Pre-K through Grade 8.

What Parents Should Know

  • Classroom Participation
Students will follow the same daily schedule as Korean students. Most lessons are taught in Korean, but our campers are encouraged to observe, engage, and participate where possible. Teachers often provide extra support, and many students find ways to connect even with the language barrier.

  • English Support
Unlike many local schools in Korea, this host school has students with a higher level of English ability, making it easier for our campers to communicate and feel comfortable in class.

  • Afternoon & Enrichment Sessions
Beyond the core academic schedule, campers also join a variety of enrichment classes that may include:

    • Cheerleading

    • Fencing

    • Orchestra

    • Physical Education (PE)

These activities allow campers to build friendships, develop new skills, and enjoy the same extracurricular life as Korean students.

  • Important Expectation
This program is designed as a true Korean school immersion. Parents should be aware that while campers will have support, much of the day will be in Korean. This cultural and linguistic challenge is part of the program’s unique value and learning experience.
