A Day at GB Camp, From Drop-off to Pick-up
Parents often ask us the same question before the first morning: what does a camp day actually look like? Here is a walk through a typical GB Camp day at Soongsil University, from the moment you drop off your child to the moment you pick them up.
9:30 AM · Drop-off and morning welcome
Drop-off is at the campus gate. Siblings in GB Sprout use the same spot, so one stop covers the whole family. Campers check in with their group leader, greet friends, and hear the theme of the day before heading to the classroom.
Morning · Korean language and culture
On campus days the morning is for Korean language practice and a hands-on cultural activity, such as traditional crafts or folk games. Lessons are short and interactive, and bilingual leads keep everyone moving. On field trip days the group boards a private van after a quick safety briefing.
12:30 PM · Lunch and recess
A hot campus lunch is included, followed by supervised free time with friends. On field trip days lunch is arranged at or near the destination.
Afternoon · Creative workshop
Afternoons are for making things: folk art, team projects, K-pop dance or samulnori percussion depending on the week. Every week has its own activities, so campers who stay for several weeks never repeat a project.
3:00 PM · Reflection and pick-up
The day closes with a short recap and pack-up. Parents pick up at the same campus gate by 3:30 PM. Photos from the day are shared with families after camp, so you can see what your child was up to.
