Getting Ready for Korea: A Simple Packing List
You do not need much for camp. Korean summers are hot and humid, days are active, and most supplies are provided. This short list covers what actually gets used.
Every day
A refillable water bottle with your child's name on it
Comfortable sneakers that are already broken in
A light hat and sunscreen for field trip days
A small backpack that your child can carry alone
Good to have
A light long-sleeve layer for air-conditioned classrooms and vans
A small towel or wet wipes for hot afternoons
For KSI campers, 10,000 KRW in cash on the first day for the school snack store
Leave at home
Expensive electronics, toys and large amounts of cash. Phones are fine for the commute but stay in the backpack during activities. Lunch, snacks, art materials and all admission fees are already included, so there is nothing extra to pack for those.
